After three years of practical use with hundreds of electric MAXIMUM wheel loaders, we have reached a clear conclusion: we strongly advise against using expensive lithium batteries for year-round operation.

The problem with lithium in winter:
Performance degradation: Even at +5°C, the batteries discharge extremely quickly outdoors.
No charging in freezing temperatures: At 0°C and below, no more power is absorbed. The wheel loader is often out of service for months.
Outdoor storage impossible: The sensitive lithium technology cannot survive the winter outdoors without damage.

Our recommendation: Maintenance-free lead-acid batteries. We have had the best experiences with this technology by far. The advantages are obvious:
